Hello, and good curling!
I’m here to share my love of the sport of curling with readers and to answer questions about the game. There are no silly questions (even, “Is curling really a sport?”), so fire away!

If you read the short bio on the blog, you’ll learn that I’ve been curling for about seven years, and first tried the game after the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. At those Games, the USA men’s curling team won the bronze medal. This month, in Sochi, Russia, one member of that team, skip John Shuster, will try to win a spot on the medal podium.

I just saw the USA men’s curling team play at the Continental Cup in Las Vegas and they looked sharp. If they’re on their game they have a great chance for a Top 5 finish. Whether they win a medal depends on many factors, including sharpness of shot making and strength of strategy. More on that later.

You can follow John Shuster on Twitter. He can be pretty darn entertaining!
