The Colorado State Forest Service will be selling “low-cost” seedlings through April 8 at it’s Woodland Park District office.
Landowners can purchase seedlings and shrubs at the office located on South Boundary Street north of downtown for prices ranging from $1.80 for a single seedling to $76 for a large tubed tree. An assortment of seedling survival accessories are also available.
According to the Forest Service, the program is designed to help landowners establish wind breaks, create erosion control, enhance wildlife habitat and other uses.
Orders will be available for pickup at the Woodland Park office on May 2 and 3. For more information go to csfs.colostate.edu, click on “Your Local District” and select the Woodland Park District, or call 719-687-2921.
