  • Vote Sox the Fox for PCL Mascot of the Year

Tue, July 22, 2014 by Joe Paisley with no comments

Sox the FoxThe annual Mascot Mania contest in minor league baseball is underway and Sox the Fox, the lovable acrobat of Security Service Field, is competing for Pacific Coast League Mascot of the Year.

If Sox the Fox wins, he advances to the championship round (Aug. 4-11) against all the league champions.

Here is his bio as told to Mike Hobson:  Sox the Fox was born in a den behind the outfield wall of Security Service Field. The ballpark always had a special place in his heart because he was named after the Sky Sox Baseball Team. Always hoping to get closer to the action, Sox would sometimes jump the fence and watch the game from the left-field grass hill. One day the Sky Sox GM noticed Sox the Fox leading the crowd in cheers and knew he had the perfect job for him!

Click here to vote daily until Aug. 4 for the league round and the championship round later.
