Injury brings new face to Sky Sox

t551_main_logoInfielder Rafael Ynoa, who hit the RBI single that scored Kyle Parker in the 10th inning on Thursday night, was put on the disabled list with a left calf contusion.

Extended Spring Training player Angelys Nina, 25, of the Dominican Republic was called up and started at second base on Friday night. The 2007 Rockies free agent signee spent last season with Double-A Tulsa (.280 average, 51 RBIs, 19 stolen bases).

Both Sky Sox home wins have come in walk-off fashion in the 11th inning. … 2013 PCL all-star third baseman Ryan Wheeler sat out for the second straight game after starting the first 13 contests. … The Sky Sox return home for a four-game homestand against new division rival Iowa Cubs April 24-27.
