Sox the FoxColorado Springs Sky Sox mascot extraordinaire¬† “Sox the Fox” is in sixth place in voting for best minor league baseball mascot, according to the Triple-A franchise..

You can vote here and in the tradition of democracy (at least in Chicago) you may vote 25 times a day. And if it a slow day at work you can check out all the minor league mascots including some hideous bird-like creatures in the Pioneer League.

Here is his bio:

Height: 6,537 feet (when in Security Service Field)
Weight: 185 before game, 178 after game ends
Friends: Dinger the Rockies Dinosaur, Air Force Academy “The Bird”, Colorado College Tiger “Prowler”
Rival(s): Archie (Reno Aces), Bumble (Salt Lake Bees), Rhubarb the Reindeer (Tacoma Rainiers)
Likes: Warm game days so he can shoot water guns, loud crowds, Sky Sox victories, foxy ladies
Dislikes: Crying babies, tail pulling, when Smokey Bear can’t visit Sox at the ballpark because he’s out fighting fires
Bio: Sox the Fox was born in a den behind the outfield wall of Security Service Field. The ballpark always had a special place in his heart because he was named after the Sky Sox Baseball Team. Always hoping to get closer to the action, Sox would sometimes jump the fence and watch the game from the left-field grass hill. One day the Sky Sox GM noticed Sox the Fox leading the crowd in cheers and knew he had the perfect job for him! Ever since, Sox has been the No. 1 mascot in the hearts of all baseball fans!
