Fresno (47-59) is hoping to avoid setting a road losing streak (six) for this season against call-up Sean Gallagher, a righty who went 4-5 with a 3.00 ERA at Class AA Tulsa. He makes his Sky Sox debut tonight. Gallagher has 91 Major League appearances with the Cubs, A’s, Padres and Pirates.
His opponent is Fresno righty Justin Fitzgerald (1-3, 6.03).
Outfielder Corey Dickerson was called up for his second stint with the Rockies. He took the spot of left-handed pitcher Drew Pomeranz, who went on the 15-day disabled list with left bicep tendinitis (retroactive to July 23). Dickerson has batted .371 (117-for-315) with 21 doubles, 14 triples, 11 home runs, 50 RBIs and 61 runs in Colorado Springs. He leads the Pacific Coast League in average, triples, slugging percentage (.632) and OPS (1.046) and is fourth in on-base percentage (.414). … Right-hander Collin McHugh was called up to the Rockies’ four-man taxi squad, meaning he practices and travels with the big club. … Righty Rob Scahill was back in uniform with the Sky Sox after being activated from the temporary inactive list.
