Fowler, Tulo back with Rockies; Colvin, Dickerson head to Sky Sox

t551_main_logoThe Colorado Rockies announced  they activated outfielder Dexter Fowler from the 15-day disabled list.

To create the open roster spot the Rockies have optioned outfielder Corey Dickerson. He is at the ballpark but yet to be activated. Later, they announced Troy Tulowitzki was activated, shipping struggling outfielder Tyler Colvin down to the Sky Sox.

Dickerson, 24, made his Major League debut on June 22 at Washington as he went 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI. In 15 games with the Rockies, he has gone 7-for-33 (.212) with 4 doubles, 2 RBI and 5 runs while appearing in all three outfield positions. Dickerson began the season in Colorado Springs where he batted .386 (107-for-277) with 19 doubles, 13 triples, 9 home runs, 38 RBI, 56 runs and a 1.075 OPS (.429 OBP, .646 SLG)..
