Jerry Rutledge, whose Rutledge’s men’s clothing store has been a downtown Colorado Springs mainstay for 47 years, isn’t selling his store. Not anytime soon, anyway. A comment during a Springs business networking group this week led attendees to believe Rutledge had sold his store, at 102 N Tejon St. Not true, said the 69-year-old Rutledge. “I haven’t done anything,” he said. However, Rutledge said he intends to take on a partner, but “that’s a far cry from selling the business.” The store is doing well, he added, and he’s committed to continuing to grow his business.
