Top 10 dogs in U.S.

My dog didn’t make it.

Did yours’?

I know this blog is supposed to be about transportation, so a dog story is a reach.

But they walk and run and otherwise transport themselves so I figured, what the heck.

Some pull dogsleds. Others are service dogs.

They get around.

So when this American Kennel Club list of the most popular dogs in 2013 in the U.S.  came out and my Lhasa Apso and Border Collie weren’t on it, I decided to vent.

Here’s the list according to the AKC.

  1.  Labrador retriever
  2. German shepherd
  3. Golden retriever
  4. beagle
  5. bulldog
  6. Yorkshire terrier
  7. boxer
  8. poodle
  9. Rottweiler
  10. dachshund

I get the Lab and retriever. Sure. Good dogs.

But a bulldog? Rottweiler?

Give me a mutt any day.

In Tibet, my Lhasa Lilly is king. (Or queen in this case.)
