The Air Academy girls’ lacrosse team was clad in pink Wednesday night as part of a fundraiser with the Rampart Rams to raise money for Susan G. Komen Southeastern Colorado.
Each player dedicated the game to someone in their family, a close friend or a community leader who has been stricken with the disease, and the Kadets were planning to raffle their pink game jerseys to raise more money for the cause.
The field at the K-Dome was lined in pink chalk, both coaches wore bright, pink shirts, and the game’s referees wore pink and black-striped jerseys in support of the special night.
In addition, all gate proceeds from the game were donated to the charity.
