The fastest times in the state for girls’ swimming (updated weekly) are in. And the Pikes Peak region has plenty to celebrate at the Class 4A level.
Of the 12 events, a Pikes Peak region representative has posted the state’s fastest time in five of them, according to Rob Nasser’s Colorado Girls High School Swimming and Diving Top 20 Rankings.
Manitou Springs’ Veronica Morin’s 23.93 seconds in the 50 freestyle is the fastest time in 4A and third fastest in the state. Her teammate Emily Dolloff-Holt, a freshman, has the fastest time in the 200 individual medley, finishing in 2:11.24. The Mustangs’ 200-yard medley relay team is tops in 4A with a time of 1:50.43, just 0.43 seconds faster than Cheyenne Mountain.
The Indians hold the fastest time in the 400 freestyle relay (3:40.13) and 100 buttefly, thanks to Sydney Buckley’s 57.89.

In 5A, Rampart’s team points amount to 73 (13th place, while Lewis-Palmer’s would be 46 (16th place) and Pine Creek’s 29 (19th place).
