Batman, Robin, Catwoman, another Batman and Judge Dredd? Oh my!

Last week Denver Comic Con announced a Batman 75th anniversary lineup for their June convention that includes Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar from the iconic 1960’s ABC television series “Batman” and Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in “Batman: The Animated Series.”

In addition to the Batman guests, DCC is planning a number of panels with a Batman focus in honor of the Dark Knight’s first appearance in Detective Comics number 27 in May 1939. West, Ward and Newmar will gather for a Batman ’66 reunion panel. Conroy will take part in many voice actors panels and more than a dozen Batman comics artists and writers will participate in a variety of panels focusing on their careers in the Caped Crusader’s comics.

Over the weekend the DCC announced on Twitter and Facebook that Karl Urban will be attending the con as well. Urban plays Det. John Keenex on the Fox show “Almost Human” and has starred in Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings,” as the lead in the last Judge Dredd movie and as Dr. McCoy in the last two “Star Trek” films.

Other previously announced Denver Comic Con guests include Walter Koenig (“Star Trek”), Michael Rooker (“The Walking Dead”) and Bruce Campbell (“Army of Darkness”).
