Friday evening KRDO-TV anchor/reporter Eric Singer announced on Facebook that he was no longer employed by the station. Singer, a two time National Edward R. Murrow Award winner for the local ABC affiliate, posted this on his Facebook page:

“Hello FB Friends. I wanted you to be among the first to know that I no longer work at KRDO-TV. The station has chosen to go in a different direction. I appreciate your friendships and that you have shared your lives, good and bad with me. I hope we can still be active on this site together. I may not be on television, but I will still try to push the positives and hope we can stand together to look at life positively.”

The Gazette reached out to Singer and will have more information in the coming days.

Update: KRDO multimedia journalist Joe Dominguez also stated on Facebook this weekend that he’s leaving the station as well. Dominguez has taken a position with an affiliate in Greensboro.
