Take a step back in time, enjoy some cold suds and help raise money for victims of this summer’s Black Forest fire at the Whimsy County Frog Festival and Show of Classic Conveyances Sept. 7.
Monument’s Pikes Peak Brewing Co. is teaming up with Frog on a Limb Primitives for a day of beer, music, arts and crafts and a classic (think hand cranks and rumble seats) car show, all in the brewery’s parking lot at 1756 Lake Woodmoor Drive in Monument. It runs from 1 to 6 p.m. and is described as an “old-fashioned country fair,” complete with a petting zoo, bouncy house, sack races and other shenanigans.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Tri-Lakes Cares, which has an established a fund to assist those affected by the Black Forest fire, which destroyed 486 homes in June. The J. Miller Band, themselves fire victims, will play at the festival.
