According to a recent report by USA Today, yes, Colorado has seen a spike in fatal crashes.

Weed contributed to 12 percent of U.S. traffic deaths in 2010, tripled from a decade earlier, according to USA Today. In Colorado, the trend started in 2009, according to the report.

Recreational marijuana sales have been allowed in Colorado since Jan. 1.
