I’ll get to the photo later.

I recently wrote a blog about Colorado Springs ranking as one of the cheapest cities to raise a family. You can read it here.

But before you pack up all your things, sell your house and kiss your friends goodbye, you might want to go through this list of things you “need” to know before you join us.

Real Estate blog Movoto gives us a list of 21 must-know things before moving to the so-called Springs.

Apparently I have to stop calling our lovely city Colorado Springs and start calling it The Springs. (Sorry Manitou).

“Sometimes you may have to refer to this city by its full name (I don’t know when or why, but, theoretically, it could happen), but as far locals are concerned it’s just the Springs,” reads the post. “Also, here SoCO means southern Colorado, not Southern Comfort.”

Another thing to know is that I better get used to eating and smelling fondue, whatever that is. I work next to a fondue restaurant so it will happen one of these days. It’s inevitable.

Take a look at the full list here and share your thoughts below.

Side note: China Town restaurant, here I come.

The photo, apparently residents of The Springs love eating Elk and Bison. So a wolf mauling a poor animal? OK. Check out the list to see an explanation.
