I doubt many people would care to live in this apartment if they knew of its history.

The apartment that once belonged to suspected killer James Holmes is available to rent.  Holmes was charged with killing 12 people and injuring 70 others in the 2012 Aurora theater shooting.

Holmes was in the news again today, this time because of his former apartment. TMZ first reported Monday that the apartment was back on the market. When Holmes lived there, it was booby trapped with grenades and gasoline.

The landlord is asking $850 a month, saying the unit has been completely renovated and furnished, according to TMZ. There’s no mention about the previous tenant.

Bill Hoover, grandfather of one of the shooting victims, told TMZ that the apartment “should be burned down or bulldozed.

Holmes “is the epitome of evil and what went on in that building was horrendous. I don’t think anyone would want to stay there if they knew the evil acts that were done,” Hoover said.

The Daily News in New York City also picked up the story.

What are your thoughts about the apartment being back on the market?
