A man rescued his brother recently after he was almost completely swallowed by an avalanche in the Colorado mountains. And it was captured on video.

The brothers and a friend were skiing on a backcountry trail in Vail three days before Christmas when an avalanche engulfed Edwin LeMair, 22, burying him up to his head, according to the Today Show, which recently interviewed the brothers. Dave LeMair, 19 and Jack Edgar were with Edwin.

“I was really worried I was going to be buried completely,’’ Edwin told Today. “I’m extremely thankful that everything turned out the way it did and that I didn’t sustain any worse injuries or die.”

The terrifying experience was caught by the popular GoPro camera worn by Dave.
