Yes, I belong in Colorado!
An interactive guide to the “United States of Attitude” has been floating around social media. You probably saw it on Facebook. Only 48 states are highlighted in the 10-question survey, sorry Hawaii and Alaska, apparently you don’t have personality.
The first sentence in the story says all you need to know about the so-called guide. “For a country that features the word United so prominently in its name, the U.S. is a pretty fractious place,” it reads.
Colorado has a mixture of personalities. It ranks 10th in openness, ninth in conscientiousness, 36th in extroversion, 33rd in agreeableness and 48th in neuroticism. West Virginia is the most neurotic state, Utah is the most agreeable and Wisconsin is the most extroverted, according to the web post.
No lie, I took the 10-question survey and it said belonged in Colorado. Not bad for moving to the beautiful Colorado Springs about a month ago from South Dakota. Just to make sure I wasn’t set up or fooled, I took it again and clicked random answers. This time it said I belonged in Massachusetts. (um, no)
The post goes into detail about the personality survey and how the data was collected. Take it, and share your thoughts and where you “belong”.
