U.S. Air Force Col. Raymond J. Merritt has traveled around the country for years talking about his years-long nightmare in Vietnam decades ago.
Merritt, a former fighter pilot, was shot down by anti-aircraft fire in September 1965 and held captive at a number of camps.
His touring days are drawing to a close however. Merritt has donated his collection of memorabilia to the Norton Air Force Base Museum in San Bernardino, Calif. Part of the display are detailed story boards made by the Air Force Academy.
