The ceremony marking the end of studies at the U.S. Air Force Academy for more than 1,000 graduates was a big deal in Colorado, and across the country as families and friends celebrated achievement.

The occasion also was a new story across the pond in the United Kingdom. A story in the Daily Mail (posted here) included cheerful graduates amid a backdrop of a serious speech by Air Force Secretary Michael Donley.

Even the Huffington Post published an overview of the military academy graduations.
