Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has begun a partnership with Kellogg Co. to create a limited-edition breakfast cereal called Kellogg’s Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Chocolatey Almond that debuted last week in the grocery aisle of Colorado Target stores.

Ron Baalman, owner of the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory franchise in the Colorado Springs area, shows off the company's new limited-edition cereal made by Kellogg Co., and a new flavor of caramel apple made with the same ingredients.

The cereal features a combination of sweetened and cocoa-dusted flakes of corn, chocolate chunks and sliced almonds. The Colorado Springs area franchise for Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory also has created a new flavor of its caramel apples featuring the same recipe that is sold through its stores in Old Colorado City, Chapel Hills Mall, The Citadel mall, the Shops at Briargate and the Outlets at Castle Rock. Customers also can get coupons for the cereal at any of the five stores, said Ron Baalman, owner of the Springs-area stores.
