Paul WalkerJust days after Paul Walker’s death, a California jewelry store employee is telling the world about Walker’s secret act of kindness toward a soldier.

More than a decade ago, Walker was browsing in a high-end jewelry store in Santa Barbara when he overheard a conversation between a soldier who’d just returned from a deployment to Iraq and his fiancee. The soldier was about to deploy again, and the couple was looking at engagement rings.

The fiancee saw a $10,000 engagement set she loved, but the soldier told her that he couldn’t afford it. When Walker heard the exchange, he called the manager over and asked him to put it on his tab and keep the gift anonymous, CBS Los Angeles reports.
