The Colorado Department of Education has recognized the significant support needs program at Liberty High School as a model school.

Liberty is the only high school in Colorado to receive this distinction.

One of the key components of the Liberty program is a self-sustaining business so that students with support needs can gain work experience.

The students are learning photography, printing, and packaging while they manage a greeting card company.

The business startup was funded with an Archimedes grant from the Liberty parent group.
