Students at Pioneer Elementary School had expert help recently as five representatives from the Academy School District 20 technology department evaluated student-created video games. The students worked on their games in an after-school club sponsored by Deb Hill.

The information technology professionals who evaluated the games were David Remy, Rich Battin, Jeff Rachwitz, Scott Harrison and Abe Lomax.

The students were able to get answers to questions about programming, gaming and software development.

Two students received special recognition: Tai Benson, fourth grader, and Jorge Garcia, fifth grade, created games that were popular among their classmates and the judges.
