Woodland Park School District recognized among best in nation for supporting music education

Woodland Park School District RE-2 was one of two Colorado school districts recognized for being among the Best Communities for Music Education in the United States.

The program of the University of Kansas and the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation acknowledges “outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the core curriculum.”

Kit Carson RE-1 School District was the other Colorado honoree.

In all, 376 of the nation’s 13,588 school districts were designated as Best Communities for Music Education.
