Meister’s last broadcast May 23, but he’ll start working in April for School District 49

Matt Meister introduced himself to the Falcon D-49 school board at this week’s meeting.

KRDO-TV’s chief meteorologist Matt Meister won’t leave the local ABC affiliate unitl May 23 but will begin his work with Falcon School District 49 as its new communications director in April, the district announced this week.

Meister introduced himself to the district’s school board at its meeting this week.

Meister will take on the role as district spokesman after his final broadcast May 23 but will start next month working with the district as well, according to Peter Hilts, D-49′s chief education officer.

The position has been retitled — it previously was public information officer but this year became communications director, to conform with other senior leadership in the district.
