The Women’s Foundation of Colorado is calling for applications for the Girls’ Leadership Council program that will be held this summer at University of Denver.
The program is geared to inspire young women to be future leaders, and philanthropists.
Two top program participants each will receive the $1,500 Dottie Lamm Leadership Award to be used for educational purposes.
Through a competitive application and interview process, the foundation will choose 20 high school sophomore girls to participate in the one-week summer program to be held July 27 through Aug. 1.
Those chosen will participate in extensive team and skills-building activities.
Candidates who will be juniors during the 2014-2015 school year and are no older than 17, can apply. They should have a strong academic record and participation in extracurricular, volunteer or paid experience in school and/or community.
Applications can be found online at www.wfco.org.
They must be submitted by March 3 at 5 p.m.
The mission of The Women’s Foundation of Colorado is to build resources and lead change so that every woman and girl in Colorado achieves her full potential.
