I think that I shall never see a poem  as lovely as a. ..cat?

Sorry Joyce Kilmer, but  the idea is that third graders  through eighth graders who wax poetic about their pet could  win some goodies.

American Pet Products Association will give $250 in pet products for winning entries  in the Pets Add Life

Children’s Poetry Contest.

Deadline is February 28 at 5 p.m. eastern standard time, according to an email announcement from APPA.

Students  can enter online at petsaddlife.org or mail their poems to : Pets Add Life, 661 Sierra Rose Dr., Reno, NV, 89511.

One student from each grade level up through grade 8 will be chosen.
