Keeping kids safe focus of annual Food Allergy Summit

Families of children who have food allergies or sensitivities will learn how to keep their kids safe during Academy School District 20’s annual Food Allergy Summit Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the district administration building, 1110 Chapel Hills Drive.

Danny Soteres, a local physician and founder of a support group for families of students with severe allergies, will be the keynote speaker.

Demonstrations of proper EpiPen use and other information also will be available.

Hosted by the district’s Parent Academy, the event is free and open to the public.
