Pikes Peak Community College has received accreditation of its heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration program from HVAC Excellence. The program meets educational and industry standards in curriculum, faculty, student facilities, placement services, financial aid, advisory committee involvement, training facilities, equipment and safety. Onsite visits and inspections determined compliance for each standard.
The program is led by Don Crawshaw, a certified master HVACR educator, one of about just 60 in the nation.
Accreditation means PPCC now can ensure employers of the program’s quality, assist students with transfer credits and selecting a program, and help students with advanced placement in the United Association apprenticeship program.
