Amendment 66 deemed a big issue nationally

Colorado’s Amendment 66, the proposed tax increase to raise $950 million for education on the ballot in November, was named one of the five most important ballot measures of 2013 by Ballotpedia, according to a press release.

Others named:

-Washington state measure to require genetically engineered foods to be labeled.

-New Jersey: an increase in minimum wage  from $7.25 to $8.25.

-Texas: Nine amendments to the Texas Constitution including one to take $2 million out of the state’s  Rainy Day Fund and spend it on water projects.

-Cincinnati: Pension reform charter which would change city system from defined benefit to a defined contribution plan.
