Need a colorful, gorgeous metal butterfly for your property? And want to help educate students about art?

The Rotary Club of Colorado Springs will host its sixth annual Butterflies and Friends Gala Night Auction on Saturday at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, 3225 Broadmoor Valley Road. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.

Local artists have decorated 31 unique butterfly sculptures for live auction at the charity gala, and merchants have contributed trips, gifts and other items for a silent auction.

The event is open to the public. All proceeds will be donated to Colorado Springs School District 11’s art programs and the Rotary Club’s Service Fund. Last year’s gala raised more than $30,000 for various art programs throughout D-11.

The cost to attend is $75 per person. To register, call 574-1634 or go to http://www.butterfliesandfriends.org/2013-event-tickets.
