Travis Fields hopes to open a hand-crafted brewery at 521 S. Tejon St. by March 1, pending city approval of his permits.
An electrician by trade, Fields, 29 wants to open Fieldhouse Brewing Co. no later than April 1.
Fields declined to say Thursday how much renovating the building will cost, only that his rent for the 1,800 square-foot Tejon space is about $2,500 a month.
Fieldhouse Brewing will offer several different beers, including honey wheat, nut brown, honey milk stout, and a gluten free beer.
“We are also going to have one type that will always be an experimental beer,” he said, “and one that is a handcrafted root beer.”
