Warner Bros., in the form of Greg Silverman, president of worldwide production, has confirmed to The Wall Street Journal plans for a Justice League movie to follow the upcoming Superman vs. Batman movie. Apparently, Warner Bros./DC have entrusted the keys to the kingdom to Zack Snyder; in addition to “Man of Steel” and the 2016 Superman/Batman follow-up, he’ll direct the Justice League movie.
“Superman vs. Batman will lead into ‘Justice League,’” Silverman said.
Of course, it’s not the first time a Justice League movie has been planned. As the WSJ story notes, a movie that was to be directed by George Miller was killed before going into production. And a lackluster response to the Superman vs. Batman movie could presumably spell an end to these latest plans.
