Each day until the NHL Awards show June 24, The Gazette will run predictions of who will win certain awards, and who Angelo Stambene thinks should win the award.

Art Ross, awarded to the player who accumulates the most points during the regular season

Will win – Sidney Crosby is a player either loved or hated, and with nicknames like Cynthia Crosby, or Cindy Crysby, in most of America he’s hated. Maybe it’s because he scored the game-winning goal inthe  gold medal game in 2010 against the Americans, or maybe because it’s fun to hate the best player. Either way, with 104 points, while no one else broke 90, Crosby wins this award.

Should win – As the only player to break the century mark this season, Crosby has shown that it’s he, and then everyone else.

On what side of the debate do you fall, do you love or loathe Crosby?
