The new entry-level position is being added to free up time for Haviland and his to be determined assistants to work with and communicate more with players.
The director handles video editing, travel, paperwork and other logistics at the request of the head coach.
“It is something we have talked about for a few years now,” Ralph said. “We think this will allow coaches to spend more time with players and aid their development.”
The position, along with the two assistant jobs, will be filled by Haviland, who has a salary pool to use to fill all three positions, Ralph said.
