Duluth senior Aaron Crandall, the NCHC goalie honoree, seized the starting job during the team’s recent 7-1-2 run including a road sweep of then-No. 20 Western Michigan last weekend. That run pushed the Bulldogs up to No. 17 in the weekly USCHO poll. St. Cloud State dropped to No. 6 while idle Denver went up one spot to No. 15 and North Dakota to No. 16.

They received plenty of votes in the USA Hockey rankings as well with Duluth finishing ahead of North Dakota.  Denver is No. 15 there as well while SCSU is No. 5.

In other NCHC news, Brian Rideout (Powell River Kings) committed to Nebraska-Omaha for 2014-2015.
