Air Force junior winger Cole Gunner was named as the Atlantic Hockey Association player of the week after the Richfield, Minn., native tallied four points on two goals and two assists in the two home games against Sacred Heart.
Gunner scored two goals, including an empty-netter, on Friday in the 6-4 victory. On Saturday, he scored the game-winner and also added an assist in the 4-0 victory. In the series, he won 69 percent of his faceoffs and was a +3.
The AHA weekly award was the second for Gunner this season and the seventh for a Falcon this season
Air Force (14-6-4, 9-3-3 AHA) travels to Pittsburgh, Pa., for a two-game series against Robert Morris this Friday-Saturday at 5:05 p.m. MT each night.
