Additional items to complete the trade, including a swap of draft picks and future players will be announced soon. The Stampeded are in fourth place in the USHL’s Western Conference, well ahead of seventh-place Tri-City.

Cecere, in his second season with the Storm, registered 15 points (14 assists) in 30 games. The 5-foot-8, 160-pound, left-handed defenseman recorded 16 points (13 assists) in 58 games last season with Tri-City. The West Des Moines native was a 5th round draft choice of the Storm in the 2011 USHL Futures Draft.

Cecere was the top defenseman for the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League and was named to the first team All-Rookie Team for 2011-12 after tallying 30 points in 52 games.
