Air Force took advantage of its lengthy time away from home to hit the road and more importantly, focus on hockey.
“When there is no school, it is a good time to do that,” Falcons coach Frank Serratore said. “It’s by design. We wouldn’t draw as well at home over the holidays.”
This weekend’s Atlantic Hockey Association series against Sacred Heart is the first home games since Nov. 29-30. The Falcons have gone 5-2-3 since, including 5-1 since they returned from the holiday break. That spurt includes wins over then-No. 16 Northeastern and then- No. 4 Providence.
