North Dakota freshman forward Adam Tambellini left school to play for Calgary of the WHL today, after the team acquired his rights from the Portland Winterhawks.

Here are some more details from College Hockey News.

There was a rumor that CC freshman defenseman Gustav Olofsson was considering leaving school for Portland, but Tigers coach Scott Owens has been communicating with the rookie and the issue has never come up.

He will join the Tigers in Denver to fly to Grand Forks for this weekend’s NCHC road series.
