Tuesday reading: UND suspension; Frozen Four finalists; NCHC weekly honors

SlavinSophomore forward Bryn Chyzyk, facing a misdemeanor charge of theft of less than $250, was suspended indefinitely from the North Dakota team on Monday.

Chyzyk pleaded not guilty.  A trial is scheduled for Feb. 19, per The Grand Forks Herald, which is reporting that Chyzyk ran out on a taxi bill estimated at “about $4″ by the cab company owner.

Here is a column on the Frozen Four finalists. The four picks for 2015-18 will be announced on Wednesday.

The NCHC announced its players of the week. Alex Roos (rookie), Jaccob Slavin (defenseman) and Josh Thorimbert (goalie) were strong nominees by CC.
