ANCHORAGE – Senior Matt Bailey scored with 3.4 seconds remaining to rally the host Seawolves past Air Force, 4-2.
The Falcons (0-2) took a 2-1 lead with 6:15 remaining when Jason Fabian lifted a rebound into the UAA net.
Anchorage (2-0) tied the game with 1:52 left when Jordan Kwas scored a power-play goal off an assist by Bailey. Kwas assisted Bailey’s game-winner.
Cole Gunner, who scored Air Force’s opening goal, was named to the Kendall Classic all-tournament team. Kwas, the tourney MVP, picked up a hat trick with an empty-netter just before time expired for the final margin.
“It was a great win,” said Seawolves coach Matt Thomas said. “I’ll leave it at that because we didn’t play a great game. They never stopped believing and we need that.”
