Wednesday reading: USCHO Top 10, CHN preseason honorees; weekend schedule

Three NCHC players were named to either the first or second team in preseason honors handed out by the College Hockey News.

The players CC will face this regular season are bolded:

This week’s NCHC schedule features seven exhibition games. They are listed with local times.

Saturday: New Brunswick at Colorado College, Western Ontario at Western Michigan, Windsor at Miami, all 7:07 p.m.

Sunday:  New Brunswick at Denver, 6:07 p.m.; Manitoba at North Dakota, 7:07 p.m.

Monday:  Lakehead University at Minnesota-Duluth, Northern Alberta Institute of Technology at Nebraska-Omaha, both 7:07 p.m.

St. Cloud State is idle.

The WCHA gets underway with a nonconference series between Ferris State and host Colgate Saturday and Sunday. The rest play exhibition opponents.
