The Dubuque Saints of the USHL will play in the Junior World Cup in Russia in late August. Its coach , new Denver leader Jim Montgomery was named as league GM of the Year.

Sioux Falls coach and former North Dakota assistant Cary Eades was named as USHL Coach of the Year.  Would he be a strong candidate for the open Alaska-Anchorage job? Yes. Would he want to step into that mess? We’ll see.
