According to Chris Heisenberg’s recruits list, Courtney Lockwood, a 6-1, 185-pound goalie from Breckenridge, has committed to play at Colorado College starting with the 2011-12 season. That leaves one spot open on the team’s 2011-12 roster.
He went 19-13-2 for the Eastern Junior Hockey League’s Springfield Pics with a 3.44 goals against average and a .902 saves percentage. He went 3-2 before the team was eliminated in the second round of the league playoffs. He played well in the playoffs, allowing 1.57 goals and a .939 saves percentage.
Hi,
How many scholarship spots are there
at CC per incoming class, and how many
of these must be given to US players?
Thanks,
-George
Check the scouting report on Lockwood from http://www.thegoaliereport.blogspot.com/
heis under the EJHL tab – also has video of him playing in a league game
g.r.,
CC gets the best players available no matter where they are from. US, Canada, Europe, wherever.
CC is a private school, receive no tax payer dollars or state funds.
I believe CC has 18 total scholarships available for the entire team. Every freshman class is different. Hockey is different than football. Some kids may receive 1/4 scholarships or 1/2 scholarship, full scholarships or no scholarships – some kids do walk on at CC and pay the entire $50,000 per year!
