If one knew how wholly arrogant, straight out mean ND hockey fans are, this rhetorical question would not be asked.
Try playing for Minnesota for three years and having to go to Grand Forks. It was always, hands down, our least favorite road trip. On the other hand, going to Madison was just the opposite. Small wonder. You can tell a great deal of a given state by its people. The Red River is, as far as I’m concerned, not wide enough.

I have no problem with it.
It’s all in fun, and done only at the beginning of Sioux sporting events.
I’m sure these fans are just a patriotic as the next guy.
Lighten up, people, lets snicker at things and even ourselves once in a while.

Personally, I think it’s silly that the national anthem is played at all sporting events. It makes it over used and less appreciated and less special because people take it for granted. I think it should only be played when the National Team of a sport is competing, at the Olympics, and maybe championships like the Super Bowl, World Series, etc.
