Former CC standout goalie Richard Bachman, 23, was assigned to the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads, the Dallas Stats announced Wednesday. Bachman spent time in the Dallas and Texas Stars (AHL) training camps. Bachman was a two-year starter in net for CC before leaving the program this offseason.
Joey Crabb was sent from Atlanta’s training camp to the AHL’s Chicago Wolves earlier this week.
Is that a bit of a surprise Bachman is sent down the the ECHL? I thought one of the big reasons he left so early was that Dallas was pretty thin at the goalie position in its organization. Probably wasn’t going to make the big club, but I would think it is a little bit of a disappointment he is not even with their AHL squad. Seems like he is further away than people thought. Too bad – the Tig’s could use him.
