I’m no crossword puzzle afficionado, but I think The New York Times Crossword Puzzle Challenge sounds super fun.

Head to the Ivywild School for a morning of puzzles with Jim Jenista, a local who also loves a good puzzle. He was featured in the documentary, “Wordplay,” which also starred Will Shortz, the crossword puzzle editor for the NYT.

Only 40 people will be accepted into the challenge, so RSVP quickly. There will be two rounds (20 minutes each) of solving a Monday-Wednesday level NYT puzzle. The two winners from these rounds will advance to a final playoff round, solving a Thursday level NYT puzzle.

There’ll also be prizes and refreshments. Let me know how you do! jen.mulson@gazette.com
